Dear Ones
First Jim and now my darling Kay.She was faring well, painting and meeting with her art group. On Wednesday due to Parkinsonian poor balance, a gust of wind caused a backward fall striking her head that later proved to have brought on a massive brain hemorrhage that was inoperable.Kay was comatose by 5:30PM and remained so.Life support was removed 24 hours later in the presence of her daughters & sons in law & I and she deceased soon after.According to her wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be buried beside her sister and parents.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 2nd at Cedar Ridge Creative Center Gallery at 225 Confederation Drive, Scarborough, from 1:00PM through 4:00PM.Alan

I am so sorry.Kay was lovely. She leaves her art which will last forever. Not many of us can know that of our work. I can only imagine your sense of loss. All the best,
James (Lockyer)

I am deeply sorry to hear of Kay's passing. There are no thoughts that I could offer that would ease the pain you must be feeling, but even though there has been a physical distance between us, the mental and spiritual thought has never diminished, and I speak for Sandy and Linda as well.We feel as lucky as I'm sure Jim and Kay were, to have such a gentle and generous person in?our lives.Love, Cesare (Mauti).

We just wanted to drop you a note by email to tell you how very sorry we are with regard to Kays passing. We know this is a very painful time for you and you are in our prayers. If you can remember that in the right time you both will be together again.
Our sincerest condolences, Marilyn & Peter (Kerr)
My mom just told me over the weekend that your wife has passed away. I wanted to send you my most sincere condolences. I was deeply saddened when my mom told me Kay had passed away.
If you need anything please dont hesitate to let me know. Christopher Kerr

How horrible. I can't say how sorry I am about that. She was such a dear person. Is there anyone to whom I can spread the sad word? To make it sadder still, we have been losing all the old Playmakers. The last fortnight has seen the loss of Les Landon and Carole Jahncke and now Kay. Nikki (Barranger of Covington, LA)

Your beloved wife Kay made beautiful paintings.
My sincere condolences about your loss. Sretena Anna

What a shock! . I felt Kay would go on with her spirit and skills intact, in spite of her frustrations with her physical limitations. We will certainly come to the memorial service and I will contribute to the website, when I get my thoughts in order Our thoughts are with you Alan.-- Ralph and Beth (Holt)

The Ship
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!'
Gone where?
Gone from my sight ... that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There she goes!' there are other eyes watching her coming and their voices ready to take up the glad shouts 'Here she comes!--Henry van Dyke Daphne Chalaron & Paul Koenig

How sad we are to receive your note about Kay's passing. She was a great and talented woman. We are with you and your family in grief and sorrow. We are praying for all of you.If there is anything that we can do, please do not hesitate to say so, and it will be done. With love from, Paul and Jacqueline (Briggs)
